St Michael’s On Wyre Celebrates the Coronation of Charles III

In honour of HM Charles III, the village is holding a few events to join the National celebrations and welcome in the reign of our new Monarch.

Firstly on the 4th May at 7:30 pm we have a royal quiz at the Grapes pub to get us in the mood followed two days later by a post coronation party with live entertainment.

Then on the 7th May at 9:15 am we have a special service at St Michael’s on Wyre church dedicated to Charles to commemorate his anointing as King and Head of the Church of England.

This is followed by, in true British style, at 12:30 pm a picnic at the village hall complete with competitions including best cake, best decorated crown and best dressed (with a royal theme of course!).

Then on the Bank Holiday Monday, as part of the nationwide Big Help Out, the village will meet at the church at 10 am to tidy up the village.
